Mr. President Elect Barack Obama and Congress

November 5th, 2008 was a beautiful morning where ever any American awoke.

Now the real work begins. While no one really expects miracles, I feel I can speak for many that we do expect the attempt at miracles.

It is now time to change the "Yes We Can" slogan to "Yes We Will". This web site will be inviting all those who supported and helped you gain
your well deserved seat in the Oval Office. This will not be about money or about special interests.

This will be about keeping people in touch with what your administration and Congress are doing to better the future of America and of all Americans.

Unlike George Bush, who took his victory as a personal mandate to pursue a destructive and divisive partisan agenda, your election is not a personal mandate. It is a mandate for all Americans who fought hard for two years to take back their own government, choosing you as our leader. It is a mandate for us to not let up in the fight to recover what belongs to "We, the People."


This is also a mandate to Government as a whole to wake up and listen to the people and to restore our trust in government at home and abroad.

If America is to come back from a dark place, not to go there again, each of us must participate in some form. Remaining silent will no longer do. It is up to us to know what is happening and always provide immediate feedback, not just to you but to our representatives in Congress as well as at the state level. We must keep them informed about our lives and our problems so they can never remain isolated from the Americans they are privileged to represent. Our representatives must know with certainty that if they fail us as they have in the past, we will replace them and replace them again until they truly learn to fear for the security of their privilege of serving this great country. They must no longer take that privilege for granted or to abuse it for personal gain, or in service to special interests above the common good, but to use their positions to make our nation even more proud and strong than ever.

America woke up this election. They cannot be allowed to go back to sleep. This is an opportunity to keep our own nose to the grindstone. If we all communicate, we will not need to worry about an uninformed or out of touch government. This need to communicate must become a way of life for future generations, taught in our schools.
